We start a new year full of energy and motivation for all that is to come!
We have set ourselves many new challenges for 2023, always with the main objective of continuing to supply the best products to our customers.
And, if we are talking about challenges, if there is one thing that makes this month of January stand out, it is the beginning of the best resolutions that each one of us has set for ourselves on a personal level.
Changing and improving our diet, taking more exercise or maintaining a healthier lifestyle are usually marked in red at the beginning of the calendar, especially after the excesses that most of us have surely committed this Christmas.
Today, although we're going a little bit out of our usual tone, we're going to tell you some tips that will surely help you get in shape to face the January slope.
Take care of your diet, take care of your health
The first thing we need to be clear about when we decide that we are going to try to get fit or lose some weight is that moderation is always going to be important.
There are no foods or diets that will magically make us lose weight quickly. Moderation and common sense will help us to get in shape and, more importantly, to do so in a way that is healthy for our bodies.
After this, a balanced diet and exercise are the best keys to gradually getting in shape.
As far as nutrition is concerned, it is important to follow some guidelines. We will tell you about them:
- Eat 5 meals a day: is something you will have heard many times, but it is really important for our organism to process all the nutrients in the best way. In this case, the most important meals of the day should be breakfast, lunch and dinner, and it is highly recommended to alternate a "snack" every 3 or 4 hours to avoid feeling hungry.
As for dinner, we should try to keep it light and include vegetables, so that the last meal of the day will be low in calories, which is beneficial for weight loss.
- Maintain good hydration: water helps us to eliminate toxins and helps our organism to function at its best. It is highly recommended to drink around 2 litres of water every day. If it can help, drinking cold herbal teas is also a good way to drink water between meals.
- Say goodbye to sugar: sweets, pastries and many processed drinks (soft drinks, juices) contain a disproportionate amount of sugar, which is reflected in a disproportionate calorie intake. These foods and drinks should be cut out or consumed only occasionally.
- Reduce alcohol consumption: Although it is normal to have consumed more alcohol than usual during the festive season, alcoholic beverages are harmful to our health.
When we want to lose weight, it is very important to keep their consumption completely under control.
Apart from the above, we recommend that you try to go little by little, setting yourself short-term objectives. In this way we will see how we are evolving and achieving our goals. This is the best way to stay motivated.

The importance of getting at least 30 minutes of exercise a day
As mentioned above, exercise and good nutrition are the two keys to weight loss.
When we talk about exercise, as with food, we are not talking about large training sessions, especially if we are not used to doing sport on a regular basis, as this can even be harmful to our bodies.
It is sufficient to do 30 minutes of moderate exercise, albeit consistently, per day or 1 hour several days a week.
A good way to get started in sport, or to practice exercise that does not have a high impact on our body, can be one of the following:
- Walking or doing jogging very moderately: highly recommended due to its low impact. It also helps to improve blood circulation and greatly improves our cardiovascular health.
- Swimming: is one of the most complete and recommended sports. Its greatest benefit lies in the amount of movements and muscles it works, as well as burning calories. Undoubtedly, one of the most recommended sports for all levels of demand.
- Pilates or yoga: Apart from burning calories, they help us to relax and keep our stress under control during this January.
- Weights: is an option to consider if we don't have time to go out and do sport outside the home. They help us to improve from a cardiovascular point of view, to lose calories and to keep our body toned. A very considerable option along with a good diet.
