The Key to good eating habits:

By 30 January 2025No Comments

The start of a new year is the perfect time to reflect on our goals and set new resolutions. One of the most common is to improve our health, and within this, food plays a fundamental role. Adopting good eating habits not only has a positive impact on our physical well-being, but also on our mood, energy and productivity.

How to do it?

  1. Set realistic and achievable goals

It is easy to fall into the trap of setting very ambitious goals, such as going on a strict diet or losing a significant amount of weight in a short time. However, for a dietary change to be sustainable, it must be gradual. Start with achievable goals, such as incorporating more fruit and vegetables into your meals, cutting down on ultra-processed foods or increasing your water intake.

  1. Eating in moderation and variety

The key to healthy eating is moderation. It's not about cutting out the foods you like completely, but enjoying them in moderation and pairing them with more nutritious options. Including a wide variety of foods in your diet is essential to ensure your body gets all the nutrients it needs. Include lean protein, complex carbohydrates, healthy fats, and a large amount of fresh fruit and vegetables.

  1. Staying active and balanced

Healthy eating is not just a matter of what we eat, but also how we move. Incorporating regular physical activity into your daily routine is crucial to maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

  1. Adequate hydration

Water is essential for our overall well-being. We often forget the importance of staying hydrated, but water is vital for many bodily functions, such as digestion, circulation and temperature regulation. Start the year with a resolution to drink at least 8 glasses of water a day and you will see your energy and concentration improve considerably.
