Navel oranges are highly regarded for eating because they do not have pips and are easy to peel. The first ones of the season are Navelina. In November they have a delicious flavour. In January the Navel oranges are ripe, followed by the Navel-lane-late and the Navellate in February. In May the later variety Powell is ready for eating.

But there is nothing better for juice than the juice oranges, with their juicy varieties such as Salustiana and Valencia Late. Start each day in winter with a good dose of vitamin C with freshly squeezed orange juice!
